舒晓东，男，博士，研究员，博士生导师，中科院“百人计划”获得者。1993年获复旦大学生命科学学院生物化学与分子生物学本科学位，1996年获北京大学生命科学学院生物化学与分子生物学硕士学位，2002年获南加州大学（University of Southern California）生物化学与分子生物学博士学位。2002-2007年在加州大学洛杉矶分校（UCLA）从事博士后工作，2007年加入广州生物医药与健康研究院。
主要利用斑马鱼模型和细胞模型，研究脊椎动物器官发育的分子机制。先后多次获得国家自然科学基金面上项目、“973”及“中国科学院战略性先导科技专项”等项目的资助。
